La Octava Maravilla is an ephemeral liquid link that embodies different meanings depending on the date and time of ones canal passage. During the summer solstice, the luminescent arch extends to the sky metaphorically displaying the longest day of the year. On November 28th, the multiple arches act as a liquid thread sewing the two fragments of Panama together. On the shortest day of the year, the liquid link parallels to the canal creating a floating string. La Octava Maravilla is a virtual vertical canal creating a series of conversation with the 50-mile existing canal.
